Foreign officers' course visits DLA Distribution for lesson on DoD logistics

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On July 6, students in the Navy Supply Corps School’s International Leadership Executive Advanced Development course visited the Department of Defense’s largest distribution center to learn how DoD does global logistics.

DLA Aviation Engineering Directorate wins prestigious awards

RICHMOND, VA — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Engineering Directorate’s Engineering and Technology Division was recently recognized by the Department of Defense for its outstanding contributions to this nation’s warfighters through cost savings or avoidances, quality improvements and efficiencies.

Army Col. Michael Lopez was recognized with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his accomplishments as deputy director, DLA Distribution Current Operations.

DLA to hold Restoration Advisory Board meeting July 11 in Chesterfield

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency officials from Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia will host a Restoration Advisory Board meeting at 7:30 p.m., July 11, 2016. The meeting is open to the public.

A third grader in Oklahoma gave this letter to a school district nutrition director thanking her for the fresh fruits and vegetables provided during a summer school program. DLA Troop Support's Subsistence supply chain provides produce to schools in 48 states in partnership with the U.S Department of Agriculture.
