Army Col. Wayne Bondy said farewell to his role as DLA Disposition Services’ deputy director in July as he prepares for a headquarters role in the Defense Logistics Agency.

DLA Land and Maritime leadership changes hands during change of command ceremony.

Leadership transitioned in Columbus, Ohio as the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander, Navy Rear Adm. John T. Palmer turned over command to Navy Rear Adm. Kristen B. Fabry in a July 17, 2020 change of command ceremony. Fabry also assumed command of the Defense Supply Center Columbus as a dual command responsibility. The event was held in a pavilion area on the Defense Supply Center Columbus.

DLA medical logistics team provides personal protective equipment to new COVID hotspots

The Defense Logistics Agency is providing much needed personal protective equipment and test supplies to state and local hotspots as COVID-19 cases continue rising in the U.S. The DLA Troop Support medical team worked with DLA Distribution during the July 4 holiday to fulfill multiple requests for items used at test sites in Texas, Florida and Louisiana.

DLA, VA partnership grows into the Northwest

As a result of a growing partnership between the Defense Logistics Agency and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA facilities in Spokane and Seattle, Washington will now use DLA Troop Support Medical supply chain’s Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor program to acquire medical and surgical items through the program’s worldwide procurement system.

Deployable civilians needed for deputy commander, operations officer positions on DLA rapid deployment teams

Civilian volunteers are needed to fulfil deputy commander and operations officer roles for three Defense Logistics Agency Rapid Deployment Teams that will deploy on short notice to assist military and federal agencies during international emergencies and contingencies in 2021.
