Army Sgt. 1st Class Kwesi Hackette was promoted to the rank of Master Sgt. during a late morning ceremony at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin, California, June 5 in the company of a small group of family and co-workers. Hackette serves as the Operations and Installation non-commissioned officer in charge.

Gavin Lawrence recognized employees maintaining the mission and meeting new requirements June 30 during a virtual performance review. “Our warfighters and other customers have continued to be recipients of your dynamic support and superior service,” Lawrence told employees who’ve spent the past four months teleworking.

The Defense Logistics Agency is shipping a second 7-day supply of COVID-19 personal protective equipment to support staff and residents at over 15,000 nursing homes nationwide after completing delivery of $67 million worth of equipment June 12.
