Employees set new high in fight against hunger

Sept. 18, 2019 - Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees donated a record-high 4,279 pounds during the Feds Feed Families food drive to help fight hunger in Philadelphia.

Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna participates in 2018 Feds Feed Families campaign
Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna collected over 425 pounds of non-perishable food for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in Harrisburg as part of the 2018 Feds Feed Families campaign. The USDA led campaign was created to help food banks and pantries stay stocked during summer months when they traditionally see a decrease in donations and an increase in need. The Central PA Food Bank, Harrisburg serves Adams, Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and York Counties.

DLA Troop Support employees donate 4,000 meals to neighbors in need

Sept. 24, 2018 - In their tenth year of participating in the campaign, employees at DLA Troop Support donated more than 3,000 pounds of food to the Feds Feed Families food drive.

Feds Feed Families
at the Defense Supply Center Columbus

An annual summer event since 2009, Feds Feed Families is a completely voluntary effort that allows the Federal workforce to directly impact the community where they live and work. Locally, the efforts support more than 525,000 individuals through the local food bank.
