DLA Maritime at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF also serves as the reimbursable customers’ primary point of contact for all facets of the supply chain ensuring that customer priorities are met.

DLA Maritime at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF communicates regularly with customer, higher headquarters and within department to relay customer priorities, initiate new customer support programs and resolve performance deficiencies.

Puget Sound assists small businesses in discovering opportunities to work with DLA
Defense Logistics Agency Maritime - Puget Sound Contract Specialist Andrea Hart and Purchasing Agent Jessica Reichard spoke with small businesses about the shipyard, what it procures and how suppliers can do business with DLA during the Alliance Northwest Small Business Conference in Puyallup, Washington, March 7. This event marked the 30th year of working with Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center.  Washington PTACS focus is to assist small businesses with marketing to the government, solicitations, drawings and other areas related to selling to the government.

Puget Sound increases contracting awards nearly 50 percent, awarding small businesses millions
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, is home to one of seven Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s detachments. The detachments are separated into shipyards and depot-level reparable locations. Having forward presence locations at the detachment sites allows DLA Land and Maritime to ensure its serving the customers’ needs by providing business advice and assistance. Additionally, this presence provides oversight of the full range of planning, execution and administration of contractual actions to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the required supplies. Overall, DLA Land and Maritime is the headquarters for DLA’s Land and Maritime supply chains with over 2,500 employees in 37 locations around the world with primary operations at the Defense Supply Center Columbus in Columbus, Ohio.
Oct. 16, 2018 - Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Puget Sound detachment achieved a 43 percent increase in contracting actions this year. The contracting division executed more than $103 million in contract awards during fiscal year 2018 in support of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, an increase of nearly 50 percent over FY17.

Puget Sound associate receives Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award
Ardra Farally, a Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associate at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, is presented the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award from U.S. Navy Capt. Philippe Grandjean, commanding officer of Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center at Puget Sound. Farally’s adroit leadership and meticulous adherence to procurement regulations ensured prompt and responsible support to PSNS and IMF customers while maintaining a spotless procurement performance record during her temporary assignment as the Agency Program Coordinator for the Government Purchase Card Program.
