Employee makes hundreds of cloth facemasks for coworkers

To help stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, Charlotte Bell, an American Sign Language interpreter and equal employment opportunity specialist who works for Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, made about 500 facemasks since early April 2020 for her co-workers.

Land and Maritime participates in University of Akron Virtual Career Fair

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Engineering and Technical Support Directorate participated in a Virtual Career Fair with the University of Akron on July 14 and 16. Recruiters Adil Zuber and Shaokang Yuan, both from the Engineering and Technical Support Directorate, along with Dawn Sutton, from the People and Culture Directorate, attended the event to speak with potential applicants.

DLA San Joaquin Firefighters assist in saving homes

The fire crew at Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management San Joaquin’s Fire Station 262 were dispatched for mutual aid by South San Joaquin County Dispatch in the late afternoon of July 5. They were later called out for a second alarm working residential structure fire in the city of Tracy, California.
