Troop Support commander engages local business leaders to share DLA mission, impact

PHILADELPHIA — Members of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce learned more about the mission and impact of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia at a meeting June 18.

After learning about resources, veterans receive surplus military items provided to Veterans Affairs from DLA Disposition Services.

Whittacre recognized for achievements as commander of Korean distribution center

OGDEN, Utah — On May 30, 2018, DLA entities at Ogden, Utah held their first annual Voluntary Protection Program Safety Expo. The participants consisted of groups from Distribution, Aviation, Information Operations, Disposition Services, and Document Services to show many elements of safety affecting all aspects of employee lives, both personally and professionally.

Elementary school tutoring program comes to bittersweet close

PHILADAELPHIA — Tutors and students marked the end of this year’s Project G.I.V.E. iteration June 12. Approximately 25 DLA Troop Support employees served as volunteer tutors in reading and math to students at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School this year.

DLA forward presence enhances commodity, service support during Saber Strike

U.S. forces in the Baltics and Poland for Saber Strike 2018 have easier access to critical supplies like food, fuel and repair parts with the deployment of Defense Logistics Agency personnel to Powidz, Poland.

Pacer Classic III mods give T-38 new life

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Hill Air Force Base website — Located at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, the 575th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron T-38 Talon depot maintenance team has been providing current upgrade modifications known as Pacer Classic III since 2015 and have to date successfully completed them on 40 T-38 Talon aircraft.
