Aircrew flight equipment: life support for aviators

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 403rd Wing website — Infrared light flashes like an invisible firefly – only seen through night vision goggles equipped with specialized sensors. Those goggles have the potential to save lives and the 403rd Operations Support Squadron’s Aircrew Flight Equipment section is charged with their care.

DLA Land and Maritime Level I Mentees graduate the mentorship program

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime hosted the Level I Mentoring Program graduation ceremony and reception Mar. 1 at Defense Supply Center Columbus. “The Level I Mentoring Program provides the opportunity for employees to find their niche in the organization, build strategic relationships and gain a broader perspective of DLA’s mission and future,” said guest speaker and program graduate JoAnn Phillips.

DLA Troop Support's Nuclear Enterprise Support Office was established to coordinate the support that its five supply chains provide to nuclear weapons systems platforms, including submarines, aircraft carriers and strategic, long-range bombers.

Troop Support launches dedicated nuclear enterprise support

Philadelphia — A team has been formed at DLA Troop Support to focus on the sustainment of the Defense Department's nuclear capabilities. The Nuclear Enterprise Support Office will coordinate the support that Troop Support’s five supply chains provide to nuclear weapons systems platforms.

DSCC Child Development Center reopens as in-sourced DoD entity

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After more than 10 months of preparation, the Child Development Center (CDC) on Defense Supply Center Columbus reopened Feb. 27 as a fully in-sourced Department of Defense operation.
