Clothing & Textiles employees meet blind, visually impaired partners in warfighter support

PHILADELPHIA — Employees with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles supply chain toured production lines at Vision Corps in Lancaster, Pennsylvania July 26, where blind or visually impaired individuals operate machinery or package item parts for military customers.

Heavy equipment used by Marine Rotational Forces-Darwin were part of the discussion of long-term support parameters such as helping Marines avoid the cost of shipping such items home by finding disposal solutions in country.

Talks pave way for future agency support

Darwin, Austrailia — Defense Logistics Agency support in the Pacific may soon be expanding after promising meetings in “the land down under.”

Document Services supports high-profile White House, shipboard events

Document Services, a division of DLA Information Operations, recently supported a high-profile White House event and the commissioning of the Navy's largest ship.

Distribution Norfolk leadership visits SUBASE New London

NEW LONDON, Connecticut — Prior to taking command earlier this month, DLA Distribution Norfolk, Virginia, commander Navy Supply Corps Capt. Andrew Matthews stopped by Naval Submarine Base New London, Connecticut, to meet with on-site customers as well as to mentor several young naval officers.

Spc. Alvin Stevens pours rock into Gabion baskets from his Skidsteer loader. These Gabion baskets will support moving targetry at a tank range at Joint National Training Center, Cincu, Romania. Spc. Stevens is a South Carolina Army National Guard Soldier with the 1223rd Engineer Company, 178th Engineer Battalion, serving in Romania as part of Resolute Castle 17, an operation which builds relationships with the NATO alliance and enhances its capacity for joint training and response to threats within the region.

South Carolina National Guard Soldier builds targets in Romania

CINCU, Romania — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — Stevens of Bonneau, S.C., is currently at Joint National Training Center in Cincu, Romania, as a carpentry and masonry specialist whose unit was tasked with completing a moving target system for a tank range.
