SIGONELLA, Italy — United States Navy Supply Corps officer Pamela C. Dozier was promoted to the rank of Captain on May 31.

Distribution headquarters celebrates the 242nd Army birthday

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In a ceremony held in the DLA Distribution Headquarters auditorium, senior leaders, military members and civilian staff celebrated the U.S. Army’s 242nd Birthday on June 14, 2017. Distribution’s chief of staff, Perry Knight spoke about the significance and history of the day.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution’s outgoing Future Operations deputy director Navy Supply Corps Cmdr. Steve Macdonald was honored with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his accomplishments from May 2014 to June 2017 on June 6.

DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton recognizes Deborah Cromwell-Bush as the DLA Director’s Strategic Process Excellence Goal winner for the first quarter of fiscal 2017 during a ceremony in DLA Troop Support’s auditorium June 6. The award cited her numerous accomplishments, including her design of four centralized, user friendly databases used to track, categorize and manage contracting workloads within the Industrial Hardware supply chain.

Installation Support enforces Real ID Act for Virginia license holders beginning July 10

Richmond, Virginia — Employees following the Real ID Act implementation for family members whose only ID is issued by Virginia need to know that the extension issued for Virginia by the Department of Homeland Security expired June 6. Virginia is one of several states currently non-compliant with the Act.

Williams assumes responsibility as DLA director

Army Maj. Gen. (Promotable) Darrell Williams was promoted to lieutenant general and became the 19th director of the Defense Logistics Agency June 16 in a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.
