DLA Warrant Officers: leaders, mentors, technical experts

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency’s warrant officers are few in number, averaging only 17 Army billets and one Marine Corps billet, but their impact is felt throughout the enterprise.

Improvements on way for logistics data application

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — For federal and military logisticians seeking supply item information, the search will soon be easier with enhancements to the Defense Logistics Agency’s Federal Logistics Data application known as “FED LOG.”

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Minot Air Force Base website — Since December 2016, the 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment distributions flight at Minot Air Force Base planned and executed all logistics operations in preparation for a U.S. Central Command deployment.

As part of the Defense Fuel Support Point San Pedro closing procedures, contractors remove the JP-5 cross connect that connects the north side of the terminal to the south side of the terminal. After 37 years, the DFSP San Pedro government owned, government operated fuel facility is closing tanks to achieve infrastructure savings and reduce costs for the Department of Defense.

DFSP San Pedro closes fuel tanks

SAN PEDRO, California — Defense Logistics Agency Energy is one-step closer to shutting down 27 World War II underground storage tanks at the U.S. Navy owned Defense Fuel Support Point in San Pedro, California.

AFCENT team augments base construction

Aviation Hall of Fame nominations accepted through April 20

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is accepting nominations for the 2017 Hall of Fame March 20 –April 20, 2017. The Aviation Hall of Fame honors former employees who have made significant and enduring contributions to DLA Aviation or Defense Supply Center Richmond.

DLA Distribution Korea recently launched their innovated new warehouse quality program called UCARE. The program assigns responsibility for aisles to specific workers called aisle managers. The photo above depicts two aisle managers, Hyong Hun An and Hyon U Yi.

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — UCARE is an innovative new warehouse quality initiative recently launched at DLA Distribution Korea. Initially met with some skepticism, the program has quickly gained praise from warehouse workers and supervisors alike.
