DLA Information Operations was recently honored by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association for its implementation of the Modern Desktop.

DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor Stock Readiness Team wins Big Ideas Award

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — The DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Stock Readiness Team is the winner of the DLA Distribution Big Ideas Awards for the 2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2017 in the Small Category.

Maria Dubatto, a contract specialist with DLA Troop Support’s Construction and Equipment supply chain, developed a software solution to automate the process of completing the required documentation to ship hazardous materials. The new process is more efficient and prevents delays in customer delivery

Troop Support employee saves time with automated HAZMAT label process

PHILADELPHIA — Maria Dubatto developed an automated process to cut the time it took to complete forms required to transport hazardous materials by 89 percent. She earned her Green Belt certification with the Lean Six Sigma project.

Employees with any access to classified information or who occupy any sensitive position should be aware of new reporting requirements.

Employees, contractors must now report all foreign travel, other activities

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — A newly updated directive requires Executive Branch employees and contractors with access to any classified information or who hold sensitive positions to report more types of activities and foreign contact than before.
