DLA Troop Support welcomes “hometown” leader during change of command

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support honored its outgoing commander, Army Brig. Gen. Mark Simerly, and welcomed the incoming commander, Army Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence, native of Roslyn, Pennsylvania, at a change of command ceremony June 25 in Philadelphia.

Troop Support shares successes, receives feedback from DLA Director

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams June 14 in Philadelphia to review progress, receive feedback and ensure operational plans were on track and synchronized with agency efforts.

Campaign of Learning event provides insight to industry future capabilities

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Campaign of Learning program held an event for employees to learn how industry partners' future operations and challenges they are facing affect supply chain current and future operations during an event June 17 in Philadelphia. “This event provided an open dialogue between several industry partners and senior leaders from each Troop Support supply chain,” Lauren Colabelli, DLA Troop Support J3/5 Marketing Analyst chief and event organizer, said. “Addressing challenges and discovering industry innovations as they apply to current and future battlefields was the main focus of this event.”

New DLA hiring policy targets qualified applicants, expedites hiring process

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support teamed up with their servicing human resources office to bring one of the agency’s first job openings under the fiscal 2016 National Defense Authorization Act-authorized Expedited Hiring Authority to a Hiring Our Heroes event May 30 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Five-Alarm Achievement: Rodgers makes history as first DLA firefighter to enter DoD Firefighter Hall of Fame

Richmond, Va. — It only took a spark, but the blaze of a career built by Fire Chief Don Rodgers, Fire and Emergency Branch, Security and Emergency Services Division, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond, has also served to illuminate his many achievements. Rodgers made local history May 3, when he became the first DLA firefighter to be inducted into the 2019 Department of Defense Firefighters Hall of Fame.
