DLA Troop Support gives first-hand lesson on supply chains to Air Force Air Mobility students

Students and academic leaders from the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Operations School visited the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia Aug. 26 for an overview of the agency’s services and to learn about its mission. The students, who are part of the school’s Advanced Study of Air Mobility program, met with representatives from each of the agency’s five supply chains.

A Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence team, in partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, New Jersey Innovation Institutes Unmanned Aviation Systems Test Site and a contracted vendor, successfully conducted two unmanned aircraft systems research flights, July 24-25 at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal in Cape May, New Jersey.

DLA Troop Support recognizes civilian retirees

Susan Baker, Jeffrey Kochanowicz and Garth McBride marked their retirement from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support during a ceremony July 29. DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence presided over the ceremony and thanked the retirees for their 104 combined years of service to the federal government and warfighters.

Subsistence employee ensures fresh produce for Comfort deployment

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence overcame the challenge of a lack of prime vendor support in the U.S. Southern Command region to support delivery of fresh produce to the USNS Comfort during a deployment from June thru November as it provides medical assistance in support of regional partners in the SOUTHCOM area.
