Troop Support commander hosts first town hall of 2020

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support commander congratulated employees on their accomplishments, shared the importance of the employees’ work and provided updates on projects during a town hall Jan. 22 in Philadelphia.

Army Sustainment Command’s top enlisted visits logistics provider

PHILADELPHIA — Newly appointed Command Sergeant Major of the Army Sustainment Command, Command Sgt. Maj. Marco Torres, visited the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia Jan. 10 and received an overview of the sustainment and logistics support the agency provides soldiers in his command.

Committing to health: Tips for workplace wellness

PHILADELPHIA — Megan Ward, a purchasing agent in Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Industrial Hardware supply chain, provided her expertise as a certified holistic health consultant, health coach, yoga instructor and personal trainer to talk about why and how a holistic approach to wellness can benefit employees.

Charitable decorating contest brings joy to employees, food to community

PHILADELPHIA — Employees from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support participated in a holiday decorating contest using non-perishable goods to create holiday displays. The festive scenes were judged based on several factors including festiveness, and the non-perishable elements are being donated to a food pantry to support local communities in need this holiday season.

Subsistence industry partners, academia share ideas to improve warfighter support

PHILADELPHIA — Employees from across the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support gathered for a research and development ”show and tell” during a Subsistence University Campaign of Learning event Dec. 10 in Philadelphia.

DLA Troop Support ribbon cutting celebrates opening of new, state-of-the-art headquarters building

DLA Troop Support — It is the start of a new era at the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, as employees and leaders celebrated the opening of its new, state-of-the-art headquarters building. The 108,500-square-foot, four-story building was completed in October 2019, and is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified. A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of construction was held on Dec. 10.

DLA Troop Support — The holiday season is here, and with that goes the many ways that the workforce comes together to show appreciation for each other and what we do all year. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Construction and Equipment supply chain’s Culture Improvement Team held its annual holiday luncheon on Dec. 5, where team members celebrated the end of the year with a festive lunch.

Mentor program continues philanthropy, expands workforce impact

PHILADELPHIA — Employees from a Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support mentoring program assembled care packages and wrote cards for deployed warfighters to support morale and resiliency at an event Dec. 3 in Philadelphia. The program began in the Industrial Hardware supply chain, but has become a cross-organizational collaborative program with mentors and mentees from all of Troop support’s supply chains.

Subsistence employees forgo shaving to raise cancer awareness

PHILADELPHIA — Beards of all sizes, filled with shades of red, brown, white, gray, black and even a few multi-colored, appeared on the faces of several men from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain during “No-Shave November.”
