Specialized training program helps new employees thrive in the Subsistence supply chain

PHILADELPHIA — As a former intern in the now, Defense Logistics Agency Pathways to Career Excellence program, these are feelings that Bill Blake knows very well. So he decided that he would do something to help ease the transition for those participants who came after him.

Army Veterinarians ensure food safety for warfighters and family members across the world

PHILADELPHIA — Two Army veterinarians in the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain ensure warfighters and their family members consume safe food around the world. In honor of Women’s History Month, DLA Troop Support recognizes the unique support these women service members provide on a daily basis.

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support Construction and Equipment supply chain employees conduct spring clean-up event in Building 3 March 20, 2019 in Philadelphia. The leaders implemented a supply chain wide housekeeping event to demonstrate the directorate’s commitment to the VPP program, an OSHA led initiative that promotes good housekeeping in the office environment as a major part of its mishap, pest management and fire prevention efforts.

Troop Support Indo-Pacific employee thrives in career despite disability

PEARL HARBOR — As a college student with a learning disability, visits to the university’s Learning Assistance Center were a part of the routine for Allison Higashi, a contracting specialist with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Indo-Pacific. It was a spring day in 2009 at the University of Hawaii when an unexpected visitor, presented a unique opportunity that would change her life.
