Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Navy Lt. Traci Irby, center, weapon system support program manager for the F/A-18, Navy Customer Facing Division farewells teammates, Mar. 3, 2017, in a piping ashore ceremony held on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. In an awards ceremony held Mar. 10, 2017, Irby received an exceptional meritorious service award for her performance during a 4-month assignment to Fleet Readiness South West at San Diego, California. Her performance on assignment led to implementing Deputy Materiel Management Chief military positions to be placed at each of the FRC sites.

New military positions connecting processes at FRC’s

Richmond, Virginia — From October 2015 through February 2016, Navy Lt. Traci Irby backfilled a position at DLA Aviation at the Navy Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego. Little did anyone know it would end up being the catalyst for the permanent implementation of military junior officer positions to be placed at each of the FRC sites DLA Aviation supports.

DLA Energy commander attends ribbon-cutting ceremony at Tinker Air Force Base

International Leadership course conducts annual visit to DLA Distribution

DLA Joint Reserve Force director visits Troop Support

PHILADELPHIA — Military reservists already contribute to the DLA Troop Support mission. And the director of DLA’s Joint Reserve Force wants to know how they can do more. Navy Rear Adm. Deborah Haven returned to her hometown of Philadelphia March 23 to discuss the role of reservists with DLA Troop Support leaders.
