Distribution’s Future Plans director receives DLA Superior Civilian Service Award

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Scott Rosbaugh, director of DLA Distributions Future Plans directorate was presented the DLA Superior Civilian Service Award by Twila C. Gonzales, Senior Executive Service, DLA Distribution deputy commander on Mar. 3.

Air national guardsman uses Defense Logistics Agency reutilization program to save millions of dollars

Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey — The reutilization offered through DLA Disposition Services has helped an Air National Guardsman in New Jersey save millions of dollars.

An energy company recently awarded a power purchase agreement is set to design and build a 28-megawatt solar photovoltaic array at Vandenberg. The array will span approximately 200 acres in the old east housing area and will be tied directly into the base’s power grid. (courtesy photo)

Solar array project set to begin on Vandenberg

DLA Energy recently awarded a contract for a 28.2 megawatt on-site solar energy production facility at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day bridges the gap for future commanders to DLA

Richmond, Va. — Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation commander, served as the guest speaker for the Army Logistics University, Logistics Pre-command Course March 2 at Fort Lee, Virginia.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin officiated a ribbon cutting ceremony for DLA Distribution’s newest material processing center in Salalah, Oman, Feb. 9.

New forging dies and organic manufacturing improve aircraft wing spar support

Richmond, Va. — In 2014, Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, and the F-15 Eagle System Program Office identified a critical requirement for the F-15 C/D model aircraft wing spars. The spars, a critical structural component within the aircraft’s wing, were showing stress cracks.
