AFCENT team augments base construction

SOUTHWEST ASIA — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 407th Air Expeditionary Group website — A small team of Airmen from the 577th Expeditionary Prime Beef Squadron, have been augmenting the 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron structures shop for the past weeks to erect large fabric structures at the 407th Air Expeditionary Group.

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Tyndall Air Force Base website — The experts and specialists of the 325th Maintenance Group ensure Tyndall and the F-22 can perform its mission of projecting unrivaled combat airpower by combining stealth, supercruise, maneuverability and integrated avionics.

The 92nd and 141st Maintenance Squadrons and the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and work on the last Periodic Inspection of the year Dec. 9, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. During the initial phase of PE, panels are removed from the jet and Airmen look for discrepancies. Approximately 1,200 maintenance actions are found and completed throughout every PE. Aviation Hall of Fame nominations accepted through April 20

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is accepting nominations for the 2017 Hall of Fame March 20 –April 20, 2017. The Aviation Hall of Fame honors former employees who have made significant and enduring contributions to DLA Aviation or Defense Supply Center Richmond.

DLA Distribution Korea recently launched their innovated new warehouse quality program called UCARE. The program assigns responsibility for aisles to specific workers called aisle managers. The photo above depicts two aisle managers, Hyong Hun An and Hyon U Yi.

DLA Distribution Korea launches UCARE program

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — UCARE is an innovative new warehouse quality initiative recently launched at DLA Distribution Korea. Initially met with some skepticism, the program has quickly gained praise from warehouse workers and supervisors alike.

Everything DoD releases to the public must be reviewed first for compliance with operations security.

Anyone working with or for the federal government quickly learns there are rules and regulations for just about everything. Some apply to everyone; others are for only a small percentage of people.

Director calls for sustained support to nuclear enterprise

The director of the Defense Logistics Agency joined with senior leaders from partner agencies to discuss how DLA can continue to improve its support to the nuclear enterprise, during a DLA Internal Nuclear Enterprise Summit at the McNamara Headquarters Complex March 8.

DLA, FEMA sign agreement in support of disaster relief

The Defense Logistics Agency renewed its commitment to providing critical lifesaving supplies and services to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in a formal agreement leaders in both agencies signed March 10.
