Sourcing and Value Management

Sourcing and Value Management services improve the value of Aviation Products and Services through Spare Parts Breakout , Forging and Casting Assistance, Replenishment Parts Purchase or Borrow (RPPOB), Reverse Engineering Technical Data Initiative (RETDI) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), and Internal Reverse Engineering programs; and other engineering / technical services such as engineering drawing interpretation or help with Request for Variations.

The Should Cost and Price Challenge, and Organic Manufacturing programs reduce fraud, waste, and inefficiency in the acquisition of spares, repair parts, and other supply items. We welcome your request for a Price Challenge.

Standardization

The Standardization program identifies, develops, manages and provides access to standardization processes, products, and services for warfighters, the acquisition community, and the logistics community to promote interoperability, reduce total ownership costs, and sustain readiness.

Industrial Preparedness

The Industrial Preparedness program supports the acquisition process by assisting buyers with their responsibility determinations as well as any issues related to government furnished property. We also assist industry with issues that impact their ability to quickly ramp up production to meet certain critical items. DLA has established Raw Material Buffers that reduce production Leadtime and are eligible for use by any contractor supporting a DoD requirement.  Materials are vendor to vendor transactions and not government owned material.  There are no additional costs above standard market pricing.  Reference the following fact sheets:
