Battery Lab
An Electronics and Mechanical Product Test Center engineer demonstrates the battery test lab’s capabilities to Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry during a walk-through by senior leaders following the facility’s ribbon-cutting Oct. 26. After battery lots are received samples are evaluated for contractually required characteristics including dimension, temperature sensitivity, voltage levels drain, and several others to see if they meet specifications. Product Liability Testing helps DLA determine whether it can confidently accept the shipment of batteries from the manufacturer.
