Jeffrey V. Zottola

Deputy Director, DLA Finance, J8

Mr. Jeffrey V. Zottola is the Deputy Director of Finance (J8) for the Defense Logistics Agency, located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He serves dual capacity as the Agency’s Director of Resource Management. He is responsible for planning, programming, formulating, defending, and executing the Agency’s $38 billion of financial and manpower resources, as well as preparing the Agency’s annual financial statements.

Mr. Zottola previously served as the Deputy Assistant Director – Financial Operation (J8) and Chief Financial Officer for the Defense Health Agency. In this role, Jeff is responsible for all matters relating to the financial operations of Military Health System. This includes planning, developing, directing, and evaluating a comprehensive management and financial program to support the Medical Treatment Facilities and TRICARE healthcare administration mission and program activities of the DHA.

Prior to joining the DHA, Jeff was the Associate Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Budget in the Internal Revenue Service. He served as consultant and advisor to the CFO on all aspects of budget policy and formulation, strategic planning, investment analysis, governance and performance strategies. Jeff was also the principal liaison with Treasury, OMB and congressional committees on matters related to IRS budget administration, strategic priorities and performance reviews.

Prior to joining the IRS, Jeff served nearly thirty years with the Army on active duty and as a civilian. His numerous assignments while on activity duty took him to Europe, the DMZ in Korea, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the Middle East. He retired from active duty at Walter Reed Medical Center where he began his civil service career. Jeff earned many awards and decorations during his Army career, including the Bronze Star for his service as a company commander in Iraq.

Jeff has an MBA from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Southern College.
