Food Safety

Two soldiers inspecting food out of a boxThe Food Safety Office is dedicated to providing service, responsible for food safety issues, ALFOODACT messages, and technical and quality assurance policies for food worldwide. Through partnerships with the U.S. Army Natick Research Development and Engineering Center, a division of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, the U.S. Army Veterinary Services, the Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, our duty is to assist and serve upon request.

Food Quality: The Subsistence Food Quality team proactively responds by auditing and monitoring military food supplies like operational rations and commercial products.
