Reservists assist in special HAZMAT mission at Susquehanna

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In a ceremony officiated by Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix, 11 Navy and Air Force reservists were presented awards for their time spent at DLA Distribution Susquehanna assisting with hazardous material packing.

Washington National Guard learns language of DLA food support

PHILADELPHIA — When the Washington Army National Guard decided it needed a better way to provide food to guardsmen, it reached out to the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence team.

Troop Support supports EOD mission as national observance nears

PHILADELPHIA — National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day is observed annually on the first Saturday of May to honor the professionals that put their lives on the line to defuse, disarm or contain bombs and other explosive devices. DLA Troop Support provides much of the equipment that military EOD units demand.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution not only supports the warfighter; it also strives to improve the sustainability of critical resources. That’s why, in recognition of Earth Day 2016, several distribution centers dedicated time to giving back to the planet.

DLA Troop Support helps Jewish service members celebrate Passover

PHILADELPHIA — Jewish military members around the world can have a traditional Seder and keep kosher during Passover, thanks to the Defense Logistics Agency.

Soldier who survived gunshot is presented lifesaving helmet

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — DLA Troop Support supplies America's warfighters protective gear such as the Army Combat Helmet, one of which helped a soldier escape serious injury while searching for explosives in Afghanistan.

PHILADELPHIA — To see the many moving pieces of equipment loading food onto a Navy aircraft carrier before a training exercise with the Republic of Korea was "like watching a symphony play," a logistician with DLA Troop Support Pacific said.

Warfighter Support Initiative brings DLA to the customers

The Defense Logistics Agency took to the road, traveling to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in support of the Warfighter Support Initiative, March 22-23. DLA employees from 11 divisions brought face-to-face engagement to the logistics community of Fort Bragg and other military installations, to educate and inform them about how to better use DLA’s services and capabilities.

Two MCV-22 Osprey aircraft flew to Defense Supply Center Richmond March 1, 2016. Onboard is Defense Logistics Agency’s Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Aviation Lt. Gen. Jon Davis who arrived to speak from the voice of the customer perspective on readiness, process excellence, and resiliency during the Senior Leader Conference held March 1-3, 2016. The Osprey was flown by the Marine Corps Squadron One and is the second landing on the Defense Supply Center Richmond’s helipad.

Working to meet Marine Corps’ Aviation readiness goals

Richmond, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Marine Corps customer facing team has taken measures to improve material support for aviation readiness through improved forecasting, industry collaborations, fleet engagement, and supplier summits to ensure life-cycle support. These efforts, combined with continuous process improvements in fleet maintenance and supply, have led to a positive readiness trend for the AV-8B Harrier and its F-402 engine
