Document Services prints on target

When warfighters deploy to combat operations, they rely on skills honed by hours of practice using targets printed by Document Services.

Partnership is the goal at Marine Corps/DLA Day event

Senior logistics leaders in the Marine Corps and the Defense Logistics Agency met at the McNamara Headquarters Complex for the annual Marine Corps/DLA Day July 28.

DLA Director holds town hall in Richmond

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch returned to Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, to update employees on topics ranging from warfighter support to culture survey results during a July 29 town hall at the Lotts Conference Center.

Defense Logistics Agency’s Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter fiscal 2016, is DLA Aviation’s Air Force Capt. Broderick Morris, who is the B-2 weapons system program manager currently assigned to the Air Force Customer Facing Division in the Customer Operations Directorate.

Aviation customer service captain named DLA’s 2nd quarter CGO

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency’s Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter fiscal 2016, is DLA Aviation’s Air Force Capt. Broderick Morris, who is the B-2 weapons system program manager currently assigned to the Air Force Customer Facing Division in the Customer Operations Directorate. Morris was nominated and selected for his performance while deployed as a member of the DLA Support Team –Kuwait from January to March 2016.

Kenneth E. Hodge, accountable officer for DLA Distribution Richmond, Va., mapping division, will retire with 42 years of service to the federal government on July 31.

Distribution Richmond’s mapping division accountable officer retires after 42 years of federal service

RICHMOND, Virginia — Kenneth E. Hodge, accountable officer for DLA Distribution Richmond, Va., mapping division, will retire with 42 years of service to the federal government on July 31.

The depot as it looked from 1953 until the mid-1980’s. The row of four warehouses in the top right were known as the “Golden Mile” and built at the end of the Korean War.

Product specialist shares rotation program experience

RICHMOND, Virginia — Organic Manufacturing Product Specialist Rick Williamson, who works in Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Engineering Directorate, was accepted into the 2016 rotation program and took a three-month rotation, March – May, to DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. San Joaquin is DLA’s primary distribution point to the Western contiguous states and the Pacific area for materiel distribution of a wide variety of items.

Norfolk team ships jet components for Marine Corps

NORFOLK, Virginia — Over the years, the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., Traffic Management team has shipped some unusual items to places around the world. Recently, the team shipped large components of a United States Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier jet for repair.

Dix recognized Eartha Beaty, a 90-year-old Montford Point Marine, one of the first African Americans to serve in the United States Marine Corps, with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Montford Point Marine Association.
