Global Tires Program
The Global Tires Program (GTP) is a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) requirements contract for the total supply chain management of tires for the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The GTP contract has a potential performance period of 10 years and is the successor to the Tire Successor Initiative (TSI) contract.
DLA Land and Maritime’s Strategic Acquisition Programs Directorate (SAPD) was tasked by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) statue to decentralize the Department of Defense's wholesale supply, storage and distribution functions for tires. The privatized supply chain and materiel support of the Government’s demand for aircraft and ground tires aims to provide more responsive supply support to user organizations, improved support during mobilization, and sustainment of deployed forces worldwide.
The structure of GTP is parallel to that of TSI in that only one logistics provider supplies all tires under one contract; however, the scope of GTP is expanded from the previous TSI contract to incorporate Navy-managed aircraft tires that were previously supported by the Navy’s Performance Based Logistics Successor (TPS) contract. GTP consolidates these efforts to a single supply chain management providing responsive global supply and support to military customers.
The GTP Program consists of the GTP Contractor, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and numerous tire manufacturers and dealers. In order to sustain Warfighter readiness, the GTP Contractor will be required to order tires directly from manufacturers and dealers utilizing long-term contracts established by the DLA. The GTP Contractor will provide global (CONUS/OCONUS) logistical support services, demand planning and forecasting, order processing and fulfillment, purchasing (from DLA-directed sources/LTCs), inventory management, storage and warehouse operations management, distribution and transportation, packaging, obsolescence management, data management, and customer support services.

- Provides the services mentioned above and ensures timely delivery of tires to the customer.
- Obtains tires from the best value source under contracts awarded by the DLA with tire manufacturers and dealers.
- Provides global support for all DLA customers.
- Will handle tire scrap and retread requirement of designated NSNs (see links below).
- Will maintain a web portal and customer service phone line that is accessible 24/7.
Customer Service and Tracking Information
SAIC has provided a toll-free 24-hour number (855-874-7242) to customers worldwide. The toll-free number allows customers to track requisitions, shipments, schedule scrap/retread tire pickups, and obtain technical assistance or advice on tire application, installation, removal, and maintenance.
Alternatively, SAIC’s GTP website can provide live tracking information for your shipment. You will need to request access by contacting the DSCC tires team ( DSCC.TiresTeam@dla.mil). Once approved, SAIC will coordinate granting you access to their website.

Future Tire Supplier Procurements
Tire procurements will occasionally be solicited as a part of the GTP program. Interested parties should monitor the DLA DIBBS site and https://www.fbo.gov for opportunities to be a tire supplier.
