About Distribution Sigonella
Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Sigonella, Italy, has served as the U.S. military’s premier logistics hub of the Mediterranean since its inception in 2004. For more than 20 years, our mission has remained unchanged: To deliver readiness and lethality to the warfighter through joint storage and distribution excellence. Our Sicilian Local National workforce—nearly 80% of our team—remains our center of gravity and the foundation of our success.
DLA Distribution Sigonella supports the joint force from the Italian Alps to the Middle East, providing material support to Carrier Strikes Groups and other afloat units operating in 5th and 6th Fleets. We enable readiness for aviation squadrons of all types, directly sustaining maritime patrol, rotary‑wing, and unmanned high‑altitude Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aviation platforms. Additionally, DLA Distribution Sigonella supports nearly 40 tenant commands, including the Navy Exchange and U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella, ensuring the installation remains fully mission ready.
DLA Distribution Sigonella serves as a trusted distribution center for U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Central Command combatant commanders providing core services including Central Receiving and Local Delivery, Fleet Material Processing, Storage and Warehousing, Expediting, Direct Turnover and Transshipments, Hazardous Material Support, Specialty Crating, Cold Chain operations and 24/7 Customer Service.
