DLA Weapons Support

The Defense Logistics Agency recently bestowed its highest honor to two leaders who were instrumental in the integration of DLA Aviation and DLA Land and Maritime into the agency’s new major subordinate command, DLA Weapons Support.

In a landmark strategic transformation, the Defense Logistics Agency formally deactivated DLA Aviation during a July 23 ceremony on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

Cross collaboration between the Defense Logistics Agency, the Navy and industry partners is netting significant gains in streamlining the management of the $101 million Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment supply chain.
