Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced Defense Supply Center Columbus, Ohio, commanded by Navy Rear Adm. Julie Treanor, is among the recipients of the 2026 Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence. The winning installations were announced in a War.gov news release June 4.
Coordination between Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support, service program offices and industry partners ensured fair pricing for a critical aircraft component, strengthening readiness across multiple platforms while protecting taxpayer dollars and reinforcing DLA’s focus on partnerships.
In today’s complex global landscape, the strength of our nation’s military is directly tied to the resilience of its supply chain. One employee from Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Ogden, Utah, recently earned top-level recognition for his role in reinforcing this very foundation, helping to ensure America’s warfighters have the parts they need, when they need them.
