DLA Weapons Support

A spirited celebration of warrior legacy resonated throughout the Defense Supply Center Columbus Operations Center Auditorium Nov. 19, as the installation’s workforce gathered for a birthday ceremony commemorating 250 years of America’s ‘first to fight, ready to win’ force – the United States Marine Corps.
A major transformative milestone was met Oct. 27 when Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support hosted a joint supervisors’ call across two locations. The event, hosted at the DLA Weapons Support (Columbus) Operations Center Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Columbus and livestreamed at the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, signaled greater collaboration and shared purpose as the organization moves forward.
Ten Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) employees and four teams have been named as top performers in DLA’s 58th Annual Employee Recognition Awards Program. The employee recognition program highlights outstanding individuals and teams performing diverse missions across the enterprise, all contributing to DLA’s collective mission to drive and sustain warfighter readiness by delivering unmatched global support.
Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support integrates the missions of DLA Aviation and DLA Land and Maritime into a single unified command responsible for weapon systems support to the joint force starting Oct. 1, 2025.
